It's that time of year again!  March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month.  Can  you believe we've made it this far?  This will be the second time since Dad's diagnosis that we are asking friends and family members to show their support for his continuing battle with colon cancer by wearing blue.  "Dress in Blue Day"  will be on March 6, 2015.  We are asking that you guys take a photo of yourself wearing blue (shirt, ribbon, holding a sign, any bit of blue will do!) and either text it, email it, or Facebook message it to me.  You can click the icons at the top right of the webpage where it says "Contact Buddy" to message me directly or you can use the information below:

Please make sure to email, Facebook, or text all photos to me by Wednesday, March 4.  That will give me time to put them all on the website.  I am also including a couple of links here for resources on National Dress in Blue Day, including the links to profile pictures you can add to your Facebook account.  You have to register in order to use their icons, but it is free and gives you access to the pictures.  I am including a bit of information on colon cancer screenings and facts as well.  Thank you all, as always, for your continued support of my Dad.  You have no idea how much it means to us, and especially to him, that you are behind him in his continuing fight.  We love, love, love y'all!

In addition to providing you all with updates about Dad's progress, it's really important to us that everyone be educated on the very real risks involved with delaying colon cancer screenings.  In honor of Colon Cancer Awareness Month and in celebration of Dad, we will be posting information and videos here throughout the month.  Take a moment to spread the word about early detection.  It's the ONLY way to prevent this disease!

you in blue!

A big thank you to those of you who dressed in blue to show their support for Dad on March 7. Check out these good-looking and good-hearted folks!  GO TEAM BUDDY!!

COMING SOON!
We are currently in the process of uploading all of the chemotherapy information we have been collecting in Dad's binder over the last two months.  This way you'll be able to learn as much as you'd like about his specific treatments.

This is a whole new ball game for everyone, and we ourselves are just beginning to learn the basics about colon cancer.  As we learn more information, we will post it here so you can learn too.  Friends and family, please make sure to ask your doctor about colon cancer screening. Adenocarcinoma, the most common form of colon cancer, is treatable if caught early. Prevention is key for this disease.  Go get your colonoscopy!
