Important note: Healthy visitors are welcome at this time; however, please call or text before visiting as Dad quickly tires and may need to reschedule. Thank you!
Hi everyone and welcome.
We decided to create this page as a way to keep close friends and family up to date on Dad's (Jamie's, Buddy's) progress as he undergoes treatment for Stage IV Colon Cancer at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. While we don't know too much just yet, we do want to keep you guys in the loop and thought this was the best way to do it. This will save Dad (and Mom, Colton, and myself!) from having to repeat information and progress updates over and over. I promise to keep the site current, so check back often for the most accurate information.
Because Dad is a pretty popular guy (lots of friends!) and a Matt (tons of family!) it makes it easy for information to get mixed up from one person to the next. We just ask that you get all information directly from this site as we don't want anyone to get upset or excited about misinformation.
Thanks in advance for all of your love and support. It will definitely be needed throughout what is sure to be a trying time for all of us. And remember, even when it's difficult, please try to find the positive. The fight against cancer is as much a mental one as it is a physical one so please let your words and thoughts be always optimistic and full of hope. He will get through this and it will take all of us to make sure of that.
We love all of you!
Brittany
